Urgent Prayer request
March 16, 2008 by fmn2
Dear friends, I’d like to ask you to pray for a young girl who is in mortal danger at this very moment. She has endured long term abuse by someone in her family (she hasn’t told me who, yet). Apparently, she has taken some serious steps to get out of that house, but something is not right. She is now terrified that this person will retaliate, but the news she’s given me so far is sketchy at best.
This is the same girl I mentioned in the combox, who was also abused by a priest after she had confided in him. I think I represent her only hope right now, but she lives in Sicily!
There is not much I can do but encourage her to go to the social services or look for refuge at a halfway house run by the organization founded by don Oreste Benzi, a famous, saintly priest who recently passed away. I know someone who belongs to the don Benzi organization, in another city. I’m trying to pull some strings from here. We both need some serious string pulling from Heaven right now. Oh God, please protect her from despair, give her a sign of hope.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer!
Amen. Praying.
I will pray for her tonight, Pia, that her Guardian angel will protect her and the Holy Spirit guide her and others so that she finds a safe and lasting escape from the crisis she is in.
Take care of yourself too, Pia. You’re doing the right thing trying to get in touch with the organisation.
Hail Mary, full of grace.
Our Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
Praying here too.
O God, our Heavenly Father, Who lovest mankind, and art most merciful and compassionate, have mercy upon this child, Thy servant, for whom I humbly pray Thee, and commend them to Thy gracious protection. Be Thou, O God, her guide and guardian in all her endeavors.
By the prayers of Your Ever-Pure Lady Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary and Your Saints … Lord, have mercy and save her.
Well, the right strings have been pulled, now it depends on the girl. Will she have the courage she needs to break away? I don’t know. She wrote tonight, saying that she is taking a break from the internet, and from corresponding with me. That’s fine (really!! There is only so much I am capable of saying! I’m running out of ideas!)
She has the info she needs, she knows there are at least 2-3 people willing to listen to her, she knows there is a wonderful worldwide network of a few, very good pray-ers at her disposal. Now we let the Lord do the rest.
There is another woman on my heart tonight, even though in her pain she has lashed out at me for the umpteenth time, with the intent of really hurting me this time. So I was more firm in my response because she went too far. I need to establish a limit of some kind because I am too sensitive to this kind of situation.
The next time, I believe I am going to have to ask her not to write to me anymore, and that if she wants to keep tabs on what’s going on, she can visit the blog. What do you think? any suggestions?
Dear God in Heaven, I ask that you bless these courageous women with guidance and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and may this child of God who has been much maligned be blessed by the loving refuge of Son. Amen
As for the other young lady, perhaps severing the ties might be best, as you do not need the personal abuse. Though we are called to love our neighbor, I don’t think it means we must endure pain, by constantly putting ourselves in a situation when we know that will be the outcome. You are a “gem of great value”. One does not want to see that quality in you devalued. God Bless you, kind and gentle Lady!
Pia, I pray that this young girl will have the courage to break away with the help you’ve given her and the other support she now knows is available, or that there will be Divine intervention and her abuser will be discovered and dealt with so that she can remain in her own home. The other situation is also difficult, but I think your thoughts of setting some boundaries are definitely in order, under the circumstances.
I am praying for this girl I am offering up my suffering that God will help this girl to be set free
Pia you dont need to be hurt any more I have been hurt also by some one on the net and enough is enough God dosent want us to be contastly hurt we do need to set our boundaries my dear friend priest Fr JAMES who is my spritiual told me we all need to have boundaries and if someone crosses that bouondry we need to tell them I pray you can approach this woman
God bless and hugs

Thank you all, dear friends. I haven’t heard from either of these girls yet. I’ll send them an easter message, but I can’t do much more than that. I’m posting a much more elaborate way of the cross for victims, these days. Hoping to finish the translation by tomorrow evening. Then I should have a bit of time to catch up on BTH english version…
(((Fmn))) A very blessed Easter to you and yours. Am I right in presuming there is lots of Easter cooking coming up?

I’ll pray for these two girls. It’s good to know one of them is in a different spot in her life, now; it may be what she needed most of all.
Ciao Pia,
this girl will certainly be in my poor prayers. if you need some accommodation for the girl I might know someone; just let me know via email or telephone if it’s urgent.
Ciao
